I as a women, love the smell, the strength, the power, the base elements that make up a man.
But is it unfair of us, as women, to want the total understanding, without explaining our thoughts and desires, to want the ability to think of more then one or two things at a time, to want to be able to communicate on a much higher level then just on everyday problems, financial, children, schooling, house maintenence etc, in other words is it unfair to want our cake and eat it as well?
Iam not saying that those men arent out there but really if you think about it, what type do we as women usualy see as the most attractive, it must be some prehistoric instinct to want the strongest pyhsicaly, to be able to privide food, shelter and clothing for us, to keep us safe from harm, afterall isnt that the most important?
Maybe I am greedy but I want more.
I would be interested to hear everyones views on the subject and guys Iam not putting you down but in my experience there are the hunters, and the thinkers and not often do both of those attributes belong to the same man, I do know a couple and I admit I love being around them, they inspire me, I admire them.

And then Cat wakes up from her dream to face reality……
No one person can live up to all those expectations….

I dont think its unreasonable to want all of those things, its just a matter of finding someone with all those attributes.
Lets face it men and woman are created differently – very differently, imagine how less exciting it would be if we all understood each others every thought and next move. I dont think men will ever understand woman and vise versa, maybe thats why there is such an influx of same sex relationships.
Tell you what though, I’ll keep my eye out for one like that, if I find any more than 1, I’ll share ’em around, as long as you do the same!!!!

Well I’m still looking for the perfect woman.. a blind nymphyomaniac who owns a bottleshop. But seriously – look up the term “natural selection” basicly Darwin says ugly people breed with ugly people. Yet we will always admire and strive to be beautiful people. Such is human nature we often only see the flaws in ourselves and beauty in others. Men to generally will always look at the prettiest girl first, I say look but knowing inevitably they will settle with someone of equality.
So when you say you want better or he’s not good enough you are really saying that about yourself. Just realise when he/she chose you he was aiming for the perfect girl all along. He feels you are the best he will ever get.

I don’t think it’s possible is it?. A rough and tough guy with strong hands who can build bark huts and gut a pig.. couldn’t turn around an express how his fellings were hurt by the look his hairdresser gave him. Lets face it.. would you really want him to?..
There’s a couple of solutions I can see:
A: Try dating a schizophrenic. You could have exras in this one.
B: Date two men at the same time. 1 a real man. 1 a real wuss. -

Graybags you’re so funny, you should start an “Ask Graybags” thread.
You could be onto something here – the schizophrenic could be a bit scary though, two men at the same time, mmmmm well a bit complicated.
I went out with a mountain man for a while, and you hit the nail on the head, could build anything and gut any animal but just could not express himself – verbally anyway.
And the wuss, well nice to have as friend, but….. hehe, i think we’ve got more chance accepting the little faults in our freinds/lovers and focus more on the things they DO bring to our lives rather than what they DON’T.

i dont know graybags but I know I have had to get down and dirty, deal with the worst things imaginable and then in the space of a very short time be the most loving, affectionate, sexy, feminine women so if we can why cant a man be able to be rough and tough and then express their feelings and be understanding
-
December 5, 2003 at 04:28 #11213TamstarMember
Ahhh Cat that comes back to woman being multi skilled, an attribute I haven’t seen many men take on successfully – actually I’m really struggling to think of one who can, hehe!!

December 5, 2003 at 04:33 #11214Graham – AdminKeymaster
With the schizo you could have hubby kids and best friend all in one. lezzo affair even. lol..
Heh.. I was talking to a friend the other day about maintaining a good relationship. The key is to compromise and adapt as you both change in time. if he/she has a good base character that’s all you need or can ask for. People do change taste in music, clothes, outlook, attitude. Many factors like the enviroment and comments can influence these changes. Use them to your advantage.
-
December 5, 2003 at 04:40 #11215TamstarMember
What if they have a change in sexuality preference??? hehe.
No seriously, thats very true, the soul & basis of a person doesnt change, but as they grow they begin to feel and see different things they like. I think your ideals & goals change too as time goes on, for example what you want as a teenager is generally different to what you want when you turn 25 and so on.

Men ‘in general’ just don’t work that way. We get down and dirty then scratch our butt grab a beer and talk about sport girls and tell dirty jokes while watching tv. We don’t express touchy feely emotional stuff because we don’t generate or store that stuff.
Don’t be fooled, men multitask, just that we do it in our head. usually we are working on one problem but solving another. Always 10 steps ahead in our mind working out the fastest way to achieve an outcome. Often it’s sex or a shortcut to same on our mind but still, that’s how we multitask. Mentaly.

Cat.. What are you looking for? Sounds to me your looking for something in the wrong place. Are you looking for someone to fill all of your needs, someone like the knight in shiny armour. Only happens in the movies.
No one person can fill all of our needs and wants. As graybags said, a good relationship takes compromise. I ll add communication, respect, trust, unconditional love, to name a few. It also takes self esteem, self worth, confidence on your part.
We only attract the people we believe we are worthy of. If you are attracting the low life, then thats what you believe you are worthy of.
If you want the good, then you have to change your thinking and attitudes to attract them. That starts with self respect, esteem etc. The right person could be there with you and somehow you push them away, because you believe you are not worthy.Ask yourself, are you the best wife. lover, friend that any man would
want. Are you that perfect that you have everything a man would ever need? Probably not, nor has any man. Even if you had the perfect
man,and if you are not happy within, then you would still find something wrong with him.Men and women are different. Not all men are insentitive to our feeling, and doesnt mean they are wuses if they are. Not all women are sentitive to mens feelings either.
If you are in a relationship, start looking for the positive, and not always the negative.

mmmmm maybe the idea would be to move to a country where the women can marry more then once lol a male for every occasion, now theres an idea i wouldnt need to wake up from the dream :)
-
December 8, 2003 at 00:21 #11221Graham – AdminKeymaster
That would be a nightmare. I don’t think there is such a country. Even the old matriarchial society ways of the ledgendary Amazonian women has been tamed by missionarys.

I’ll have a couple of them too thanks sexpistol while you’re handing them out, I want someone who specialises in massage – maybe the pool guy can double for that one???
-
December 8, 2003 at 23:19 #11229AnonymousInactive

-
December 9, 2003 at 01:44 #11230pierre2003Member
Irregardless of the relationship we are within – pool guys & massages included – alot of it can depend on whether or not we are the hunter or the hunted. So often we seek out those people who seek to touch us & hopefully we are also rewarded by touching them also. Poised and crouching like the prize fighter awaiting his turn to zoom in for the kill, we wait and we watch, waiting for the special someone to say that magical word -‘hello’. Once the magical word is spoken, it is only then that the voyage commences.
-
December 9, 2003 at 07:17 #11231Graham – AdminKeymaster
Wise words young grasshopper..
So are you the hunter or hunted type?.
-
December 9, 2003 at 08:04 #11232AnonymousInactive
I think it depends on the situation whether you are the hunter or the hunted and which one suits the situation at the time lol
-
December 12, 2003 at 12:22 #11233FelicityParticipant
Definitely hunted. I’m to shy to “hunt”. Besides isn’t it better to let men think they are good at something. Knuckle dragging neolithytes are good at killing stuff like turkeys. Just bad at stuffing it.
