Interviewing Caregivers

I would like to get some feedback from others regarding the primary attributes you look for in care-givers. I recently had the opportunity to assist in interviewing some potential care-givers for a gentleman. During the course of the preliminary interviews, I quickly discovered that my friend considered personality far more important that technical skills while I was the opposite. What do others look for in potential care-givers? Thanks for sharing!
