I came upon this site by accident. How cool is this? You can learn how to fly! Okay, not all of us but…………… I love flying! I’m exercising my arms, well shoulders, madly in the hope they’ll start working again! :)

Wheelies With Wings
– Attitude Determines Altitude
Wheelies with Wings is a charitable company established to promote the rehabilitation of selected physically disabled individuals, by creating a new horizon of achievement in life.
Wheelies with Wings awards scholarships for limited flying training, based on a competitive selection process. Aviation has been chosen because of the discipline required and for the independence and freedom it can give to the awardees. Scholarships are needed to overcome financial constraints.
Wheelies with Wings – charity and non profit organisation.
Offering disabled people the opportunity to learn to fly.
Allowing disabled people to gain a sense of freedom and achievement.
A stepping stone to use to further challenges.
GENERAL ACCESSIBILITY:
All accommodation and facilities have been created or renovated to provide full wheelchair access. All students are accommodated at the old Snowy Mountains Authority airfield at Polo Flat, Cooma NSW.
NOTE:
Course details:
Up to 3 weeks accommodation including meals.
Local transport.
Instruction and weather permitting, up to 20 hours of flying training.
A Suzi Duncan Scholarship covers the cost (around $10,000)
