I’m here because I am falling in love with my incredible friend – and I want to discover everything I need to know about his quadriplegia so I can be an even better soulmate. We first met each other when he was introduced to me as a potential editor/ghostwriter for the book he wanted to write. Of course, I was perplexed at the practicalities of just how he managed to live – let alone living such an exciting and successful life! Yup – the stifling joys of social stigma… Anyway – this is also why I want to learn: knowledge elevates society out of ignorance.
I’m flying across the country to spend five days with him. And nights. And, well… we are both wildly excited – and perhaps a little apprehensive. What do I do for sexually? How much will he be able to feel? I have no doubt he will be as beautiful a lover as he is with me outside of the bedroom. But what I can do to please him? He says he uses a catheter. What will happen with that?
