I knew it was going to be a whacko week when (I swear.. gods honest truth) a Cuckoo appeared in our big tree by the house. He’s huge. Ma got the bird book out, seems they fly in from The Phillipines lay eggs in existing nests to be hached by the unsuspecting host.. in this case some Crows. Upon hatching the blind fletchling shoulders any other chicks out of the nest. When mature, instincts kick in and they fly home to mate.
One flew over the Cuckoo’s nest indeed. 8)
