Where all the cool wheelchair people hang out

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and tell a little about my story…
My husband is a quadriplegic, we have been married for 5 years and dated for about 5 years prior to that. He is 11 years older than me (I was 19 when we started dating…cradle robber!) but you would never know by looking at him…he is an amazingly handsome fella! ;)
I am still a “newbie” when it comes to some things but I also feel almost like I have grown into the person I am by being in a completely different relationship and lifestyle than most people will ever experience. He has taught me so much, from everyday things to major life lessons…he was also patient with me while adjusting to a new lifestyle. We were great friends before dating but now…we are like soul mates. I cannot imagine my life without him.
I think I can speak for us both when I say that we have learned a new meaning of loving someone…and it is FAR better than we could have ever dreamed of. And as crazy as it may sound, I am glad that he is a quad….I don’t think that “normal people” (who ever that is!?) could fathom the true fulfillment and strength we have together.
…it is exciting to find a place that can relate to what we have been through, go through, and have ahead of us. Look forward to getting to know y’all.
