Where all the cool wheelchair people hang out
Home › Forum › General Chit-Chat › General Discussion › Newbie here. Just got spc. Pls read
Hi all. Im new here. Im paraplegic, chemical nerve damage, dystonia, tbi. I got a suprapubic catheter put in a couple wks ago and been having alot of problems. Ive been in and out of hospital. I have a high tollerance for pain, and ive been in alot of pain since i got this. They have already changed my cath once. Is it normal to have bad pain deep inside still? My neuro stuff is always painful and this is making it worse also.
Also a silly but serious question. Im sleeping on the couch. I tried to sleep in bed last night but hardly slept. It was painful and im paranoid guarding my cath tube. Im terried im going to roll over and pull the tube out. Not to mention i usually sleep on my stomach or side and cant with the spc.
Where/how do peeps hook their bag to their wheelchair? I cant seem to find a good spot. I dont want to do leg bag til im fully healed.
Any insight, guidance, tips are GREATLY APPRECIATED. i ask the va docs and staff but they dont have good answers. I know the best place is among people who live the same thing. Thanks so much and nice to meet you.
Angie
