Where all the cool wheelchair people hang out
Home › Forum › Disability Services › Personals & Wheelchair Dating › Spinal cord injury level Th 6-7
Hello, I’m new here : Carmen, 51, Dutch, but living in France.
Since almost 2 month, I’m corresponding by mail with a Dutch guy, 59, met on a Dutch dating site who has got a spinal cord injury, level Th 6_7., complete.
I know it means he has lost his functions below this level, but would like to know from one of you being in a similar case, what it means in all day life.
He was a victim of a terrible car crash, over 20 years ago, in a wheelchair since; he has been able to father a now 21 year old daughter after the accident, but his former partner couldn’t cope with the situation and left him.
I know he dated some women, but has never had a serious relationship after the accident.
He has got a strong character, seems to deal pretty well with his handicap, is intelligent, handsome, has got a good sense of humor, and I guess I’m in love with him.
But before meeting him in a month or two, I’d like some more details, which I daren’t ask him (yet), and I wonder if someone could help me on this site.
If it’s too private, I could give you my direct e-mail.
Thanking you in advance, I wish every member, with a handicap or not a very Happy 2012.
Carmen
