In the US insurance companies buy 1 chair every 5 years. Have any of you had luck getting one covered sooner due to wear and tear issues? It is frustrating because Chris’ chair is only 2 years old yet he needs a new or spare chair. He had the camber out in his chair as it was fitted but then couldn’t access rooms in the condo so modified the camber etc etc. The chair is becoming unsafe, things are breaking, and we have had more then 1 ER visit because of this. Insurance says no to power assist wheels or a new chair so we are shopping online for a spare. Any ideas on how insurance can revisit the denial or reputable sites to find a spare that wont drain my bank account?
