MemberWhat’s your view on tattoo’s and body piercing? Is painting pictures on the body and poking holes in it really art?

KeymasterI appreciate any forms of art as long as it’s original, meaning and from the heart not the pocket or just to impress. Piercings.. well thought about it but I don’t have the balls. lol. no punn intended.
“Art” comes in many forms, nature is my favourite. 8)

ParticipantI got a couple, (of tatoo’s) my only advice is never get anyones name done. Piercing’s for girls, and those with all that face jewellery it just looks plain nasty. yuck.

MemberI haven t got any, have thought about it. Do agree they can be a work of art. I have a friend who’s son is a street performer, and has his whole body covered in them., as well as piercing. He now has the tats on his face coloured in so his face is black. A bit creepy and obessive. But get a good tat, done properly and becomes a work of art. I like the celtic ones.

ParticipantI like the celtic tats to Mish Mash.
Those where they actually paint the body to blend in with a background or set are amazing and very artistic. Of course some body painters exploit it for shock value like the Coors and Budweiser girls.
I’ve had some in my email lately that are… just disgusting.

KeymasterI’ve a mate at beachmere who does excellent work, he specialises in cosmetic ink, you know prmanent eye liner and stuff. I can hook you up? he’s always wanting to do me but I don’t think tats would suit me. He’s got the coolest grim reaper.
