  Do you dial a connection to the net?.
  
  I’ve been on Telstra cable for awhile but.. heh.. I really don’t find it any faster than dial-up other than large file downloads.

  I have dial up and apart from large files I talk to a couple of friends that have broadband and to be honest when we are looking at the same sites theres not much diff in the time it takes, if I was going to get broadband it would have to be unlimited downloads and times because as I understand it if you dont the speed is reduced anyway after a short period of time to not much more then dial up
